Screening may hold the key to beating ovarian cancer

Survival rates in British women with cancer of the ovary are well below those of their peers in the US and most of Europe. This is a situation that the Department of Health and leading cancer charities hope to address through a joint campaign to increase awareness of the symptoms of the disease - both among women and healthcare professionals.
