Ovacome has a network of
volunteers who represent the charity at local and regional
level.
These are our Regional Ovarian Cancer Coordinators who take our information into GP surgeries and hospital clinics, make contact with local health professionals, talk about ovarian cancer to local groups, support fundraising and help to run our Fone Friends service.
The ROCCs give their time to help Ovacome alongside The Eve Appeal, a charity that raises funds for research into ovarian cancer, in a special partnership that benefits everyone. The project is funded by Boots.
We are aiming to have 50 ROCCs who will cover the UK and so far we have 39 in the following counties:

| Avon Buckinghamshire Cheshire Co. Durham Cornwall Devon Edinburgh Essex Gloucestershire Greater London Greater Manchester Hampshire Hertfordshire |
Isle of Man Kent Lancashire Leicestershire Middlesex Northamptonshire Nottinghamshire Surrey Sussex Warwickshire Wirral Wiltshire Yorkshire |
It is very helpful simply to offer to distribute information to your nearby doctors' surgeries. Or you could invite your local ROCC to a local group you know, like the Women's Institute or social club.
You can get in touch with them and find out how best to support their work by calling Ruth Grigg, Regional Volunteer Manager on 020 7299 6653 or email ruth@evewithovacome.org.uk
